skateboard painting day one
The first day of skateboard painting was refreshingly easy. After a week of trying a project I had never done before it was nice to do something familiar. I started by removing the trucks and wheels from the board and sanding the deck. I then applied two coats of flat white primer to the board and let it sit for the morning while I sketched. After lunch, I began penciling in outlines for my designs and painting. I was feeling quite sick today and was unable to go to practice so I spent the entire afternoon working. I used paint pens to complete all designs on the board and am planning to clear coat and finish the project tomorrow.
